Terms of Sale — The Baseline Handicraft

1/ Scope

These Terms of Sale govern all sales made through The Baseline Handicraft online store (hereinafter, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to the customer (hereinafter, “you”).
By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms of Sale, our Terms of Service, and our Refund Policy.

 

2/ Products

Our products are handmade, which means that each item is unique and may show slight variations from the photos or descriptions.
These natural variations are part of their artisanal character and do not constitute defects.
We make every effort to ensure accurate descriptions, measurements, and colours, but cannot guarantee an exact match with the images displayed online.

 

3/ Prices

All prices are indicated in euros (€) and include taxes where applicable (VAT may not apply to micro-entrepreneurs under article 293 B of the French Tax Code).
Shipping fees are calculated and displayed at checkout.
Customs duties or import taxes (if applicable for your country) are at the buyer’s expense.
We reserve the right to modify prices at any time; however, products will be billed at the rate in effect at the time of order validation.

 

4/ Orders

To place an order, you must:

- Add the desired product(s) to your cart,

- Validate your cart,

- Provide the required contact and delivery information,

- Accept these Terms of Sale,

- Proceed to secure payment.

You will receive an email confirmation once the order has been validated.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for legitimate reasons, including payment issues or suspected fraud.

 

5/ Payment

Payments are processed securely through Shopify’s integrated payment systems.
Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and any other methods offered at checkout.
All transactions are encrypted, and no payment data is stored by The Baseline Handicraft.
Orders are only confirmed once full payment has been received.

 

6/ Shipping and Delivery

All orders are processed and shipped from France within an average of 3–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Delivery times depend on the destination and the carrier.
Once your order is handed over to the carrier, you will receive a tracking number by email.
We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs, or force majeure events.

7/ Transfer of Ownership and Risk

Ownership of the products passes to the customer once full payment has been received.
The risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery, when you (or a third party you designate other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods.
If you choose a carrier not offered by us, the risk passes to you upon handover to that carrier, without prejudice to your rights against the carrier.

 

8/ Returns and Refunds

We accept returns in accordance with our Refund Policy, available on our website.
Items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned within the stated period.
Customized or made-to-order items are non-returnable except in cases of defect or damage.
You may exercise your right of withdrawal (14 days) in accordance with European consumer law.

 

9/ Legal Warranty

All products benefit from the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L217-4 to L217-14 of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code).

10/ Liability

The Baseline Handicraft cannot be held responsible for indirect damages, loss of data, or harm resulting from misuse of the purchased products.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order.

 

11/ Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, or government actions.

 

12/ Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the customer may first contact us to seek an amicable solution.
If no agreement is reached, the customer may refer the matter to a consumer mediator or to the competent French courts in accordance with applicable law.
